My Birthday Dinner with my kids!!!

Yesterday was my birthday and Kay, Trey, Mary and Thomas took me to dinner at Gloria's Restaurant . It is Mexican and El Salvadorian food. I had the fish tacos which were great!! It was good family time!!

Gogo Gumbo

I went to one of my favorite restaurants last night called Gogo Gumbo. They have an eclectic menu that I really enjoy.  

 My favorite thing to get is the Gogo! Salad. It has mixed greens, spiced pecans, Feta cheese, dried cranberries and homemade balsamic vinaigrette.  You can have a choice of things to add on and I always pick the blackened Shrimp.

The desserts are out of this world, or “2DIE4!!!” ( LOL!! Which is the name of one their signature dishes) I shared the Key Lime Pie with my hubby and it was delicious!!!

Apple turnovers !!!

I was watching the new Hungry Girl show and she made apple pies using egg roll wrappers. I was impressed but thought she had too many ingredients so I revised it. I used sugar free apple pie filling and the egg roll wrappers.

Wet edges of egg roll wrappers and put a spoonful of filling in fold over and seal edges. Use fork around edges. I used spray butter and sprinkle sugar across top . Bake at 350 til brown. Really good ! 2 pro points each (I think)
